The Costanera Sur is the main road in Costa Rica that runs through much of the central and southern Pacific coast of the country. It covers the Province of Alajuela and Puntarenas
At first glance, it looks like a simple road, but the route goes through some of the most beautiful beaches in Costa Rica. Starting the tour of San José you enter the Province of Puntarenas and the first beach you will find is Jacó, a well-known beach but it is not the most beautiful in the country. Next, are the beaches of Quepos and Manuel Antonio. As you drive along the Costanera you will find inaccessible and untamed beaches, natural landscapes that few people can access. Before arriving at Punta Uvita and joining the Interamerican Highway, you will pass through the Ballena Marine National Park.

The Bribrí indigenous refuge is one of the most numerous in Costa Rica and is located in the province of Puntarenas, in the Talamanca Region. Its inhabitants still conserve the Bribrí language and dedicate themselves to fishing, hunting, and agriculture, although they also make baskets, musical instruments, and other crafts.
The best way to enjoy this area of the country is to take a whale watching tour, humpback whales, dolphins, and other species while visiting the waters of the impressive Caño Island. In Isla del Caño there are the most beautiful coral formations in the country. Do not miss visiting the well-known "Cola de Ballena" formation on Uvita beach.
The Monteverde Cloud Forest is one of the most extraordinary ecosystems in Costa Rica. A paradise always green and with many things to do while admiring the wonders of the place. Mariposarios, hanging bridges, the possibility of bungee jumping, bird watching (Pay attention to the quetzals) And a huge amount of foliage meters that will make you want to know the most remote parts of the forest.

Coco Island
532 kilometers from the peaceful things of Costa Rica is the most remote destination in the country, but one of the most incredible. The Poás Volcano

The Arenal Volcano
The volcano is inside the Arenal Volcano National Park. The spectacular conical shape of the volcano, which is imposed on the plains of northern Costa Rica, is the perfect welcome and a good introduction to all the activities you can do in the surrounding of the Arenal. Hot springs, horseback riding, viewpoints, forests, and hanging bridges are just some of the options.
